Bandits Offseason Training!

2026 Big League Bandits Tournament Teams - Information

  • Teams/Tryouts:  Public tryouts for the 2026 season are now complete. We are still accepting private tryouts (as of 7/23/2025)

  • Tournaments: The Bandits play in 7 tournaments primarily local to Central Ohio. It is expected to play in the range of 30 games per summer in the best local tournaments. We will play in midweek games when applicable. We often travel out of Columbus 1-2 tournaments.

  • 2026 Offseason: Players have access to weekly training sessions from early December to February. Trainings are at the state-of-the-art Hoagy's All-Americans Indoor Facility. These are a highlight of our program! Trainings are detailed, organized and instructed by Bandit coaches. Players also get 1on1 work with Big League owner Dan Briggs (former MLB OF/1B). 

  • In-Season: During the season each team will usually practice 1x a week (weather and schedule dependent). Worthington Kilbourne, NCS Sports Complex and Grandview Heights will be our home facilities. Team coaches may have their own field connections as well.

  • Recruiting Assistance: We assist with instructing and guiding the player and their family with the entire process. We have several connections with Collegiate coaches in Ohio and can work with you to find your best fit. 

  • Fall Ball: Tournament team will play as a mixed-team in BLBS Fall Ball - *Optional to Play and a separate cost* 

  • Uniform: Uniform included in cost (2 Jerseys, 2 Belts, Socks, 2 Hats). Players are to wear their own plain white pants. 

  • Coaching: Each team will have paid Head Coach and paid Assistant Coach. We may (at times) allow a parent coach depending on the situation. These coaches are given membership to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

  • Social Media: Bandits can be found on twitter (@blbs_bandits) and instagram! (@bigleaguebandits)

  • Fees: What is included in the cost: Professional and detailed off-season training + 2 uniforms + nutrition and lifting plans + paid coaches + ZOOM recruiting seminars + offensive & defensive conferences and more! Fundraising will be done for added benefits/gear.

  • Price is $1975, all included!
    Pitcher Only is $1,100!

2026 Bandit Staff and Head Coaches

ERIC BRIGGS - 16U BRIGGS (Bandits President)

Eric Briggs is a former Head Freshman Baseball Coach at Westerville Central High School. He brings High School coaching experience along with the vast amount of knowledge and teachings that he has received over the years from his father, Big League Co-Owner and former Major Leaguer, Dan Briggs. 

At Westerville Central, Eric performed at a high level. Briggs had a career winning percentage of .850 as a pitcher. 

Chad Hemminger - 16U Hemminger

Chad Hemminger is the Junior Varsity Head Coach at Worthington Kilbourne. 

TY CLIFTON & KIELAN LAMARR - 15U Bandits

Coaches for the 15U Bandits. Both Ty and Kielan are entering their senior season with Capital University. They are both 4-year starters and All-Conference players!

KEGAN LANTER - Director of Player Development

Kegan is the Varsity Head Coach of Worthington Kilbourne.

As a player, he received numerous awards. He was 2x All-OCC, All-District and All-Ohio as a Catcher for Thomas Worthington HS and played two years of Collegiate Baseball (Otterbein / Ohio State D1 Club).

Coach Lanter will no longer be actively coaching on the diamond for the Bandits, but that does not mean he is gone! Coach Lanter has moved into the role of Director of Player Development for the Bandits. He will facilitate and design trainings, outlines and more. The Bandits should benefit greatly from this change!
