Summer Travel League

Big League Baseball School Leagues are “travel style” baseball without the travel, expense, and extreme time commitment of most independent travel programs.

Games are played at OSU's West Lane Fred Beekman Baseball Complex beginning in May and ending in July. Each team plays a 20 game schedule with an average of two per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Season includes a mid-season pool play tournament and a season ending seeded tournament in which all teams will participate. Players can either register as part of a team or as an independent “free agent”. All free agents must attend an evaluation (not a try out) to help the Big League Staff properly assign and balance rosters.

The Summer Travel League includes these benefits

Fundamental skills clinics
Big League's professional staff will conduct a series of skill clinics, free to all league participants.
Players/coaches/team package-
During season players receive free tokens (two per visit), coaches receive free facility rental (subject to availability), team token package and pro shop discounts
League rules promoting player development
The league will follow high school rules with the following exceptions:
- All players will hit in the batting order.
- Unlimited substitution-players can move in and out lineup.
- Pitchers throw a maximum of 3-innings per game.
Big league facilities
Ohio State's architects toured ninety top baseball facilities around the country before designing the five million dollar Fred Beekman Baseball Complex. The result is eight lighted fields with exceptional drainage, Diamond Pro infield surface, Scotts Turf outfields, children's play area and a concession and bathroom facility that is fan friendly.

Parent surveys suggest travel baseball expenses can escalate from $1000.00 to $2,500.00 and more depending on length of schedule, travel requirements, uniforms, umpires and tournament fees. We believe our Summer League combines excellent value with a family friendly commitment.

Summer Travel League
All games will be played at OSU's West Lane Fred Beekman Baseball Complex, Each team will play an average of twice per week (Saturday and Sunday- plus a few mid-week and Friday night game times) with schedule of 20 games, including a season ending tournament in which all teams will participate. Teams Registration	Coaches are encouraged to organize their respective teams and submit rosters to the Big League Baseball School as soon as possible. Registration begins Nov 1. Registration fee will be discounted $100.00 for the head coach's son/daughter.	$100 Team deposit payable upon registration. Non-refundable after January 15th Roster and individual deposits due Feb 1. Balance due at the final coaches meeting.	Previous teams must register by November 15th to guarantee position. New team registrations accepted year round First come, first served.
*Free Agents*	Independent players (free agents) will be assigned teams following the evaluation in April ( At the Big League Baseball School-Please call for your evaluation time).	$100 due upon registration Balance due when placed with team. Deposit is non-refundable after April 2.	Registrations through April. First come, first served.
