Big League owners Dan Briggs and John Pacella have developed a teaching curriculum based on their collective thirty years of professional playing experiences.  In pursuit of their respective Major League careers both Dan and John have played with and studied under some of the best baseball minds in the world.

Translating what Dan and John have learned into information and fundamental absolutes that every player can use to improve their game is at the core of the instruction you will receive at the Big League Baseball School.

Both parents and players can be assured of receiving the correct information.  Dan and John believe there are many styles unique to each player; it is the job of the instructor to make sure style does not interfere with the fundamental absolutes.  These absolutes are movements, behavior and attitude necessary to perform the task, whether it be hitting, pitching, fielding etc.  What you will not find at Big League is gimmickry, useless drills, the latest “cure-all” fad, and a host of other non essential information that is routinely introduced year to year (mostly by those with financial gain as their primary goal).

Team/Group Instruction
Although each group/team may vary in their respective training goals, all instruction will generally be a combination of the following:

• Evaluation- Instructors will have players  perform drills designed to pinpoint strengths and areas that need improvement
  
  
• Understand Fundamental Absolutes-  Players will learn the correct movements and adjustments necessary to complete the task
  
  
• Fault Correction- Redirecting movements and muscle memory through use of appropriate drills and practice routines
  
  
• Mental Strategies- It is important to balance the mechanical training with information and knowledge relating to both the positive and negative experiences players will encounter.  How to get out of hitting slumps, the inability of pitchers to throw strikes, team chemistry etc are examples of areas that can be addressed in training sessions
